Dr. Maryam Shafiei

Dr. Maryam Shafiei is a researcher, educator, designer, and maker, holding B.Arch, M.Arch and a PhD in Architecture and Urban design. Throughout her career, she has gained valuable experience across a wide range of topics, particularly environmental sustainability, urban design, digital design and construction technology. In her recent work, she has focused on the intersection of computational design, sustainability and new construction technologies for sustainable development of built environments at different scales. She has employed methods and tools like Digital Twins, Robotic Arm and Mixed Reality to facilitate design and manufacturing. Her dedication lies in fostering innovative approaches to design across various scales, promoting creativity, environmental consciousness, and inclusivity.
